Blue Sky 365 Termite Control

How It Works

Our Blue Sky 365 Termite Control system is powered by Sentricon®. Once the system is in place, termites find the bait stations through their natural foraging process—there’s nothing in the system that attracts termites to your home. Inside the station, termites encounter the Always Active™ bait that’s nearly ten times more appealing than wood. After feeding, termites share the bait with the rest of the colony as part of their natural feeding habits. The bait disrupts their ability to molt, a critical part of their growth, ultimately causing them to die.

  • Always Active™ bait is nearly ten times more appealing than wood
  • Eliminates the entire colony within two to three months
The Process

Termites won’t knock.
Keep them out before they dig in.

1
Free Inspection*

Our state-licensed termite inspectors perform a meticulous inspection of your home’s interior and exterior, documenting findings and presenting you with treatment options.

2
Installation

One of our skilled technicians install termite stations every 10 to 20 feet around your home’s foundation—no trenching, drilling, or damage to your landscape or hardscape.

3
Protection

Through their natural foraging process, termites discover the bait stations. Sharing it with the colony, disrupting the molting process, which eliminates the termites and leads to the colony’s collapse.

4
Verification

Each year, a state-licensed termite professional inspects the system, replaces bait, and monitors for new threats to maintain ongoing protection for your home.

Termite Pressure in Arizona

Homes in the Phoenix metropolitan area can be divided into two categories: those that have termites and those that are going to get them. Here’s what you need to know about the termite threat in our area:

  • Arizona ranks among the top 5 states for termite pressure
  • On average, Arizona has multiple termite colonies per acre
  • Every neighborhood in the Phoenix metropolitan area has termites

Desert Subterranean Termite

  • Scientific Name: Heterotermes aureus
  • Prevalence: Responsible for 99% of Phoenix termite treatments
  • Habitat: Lives in the soil and builds colonies of up to 300,000 termites.
  • Behavior: Constantly foraging, with workers capable of traveling the length of a football field.
  • Destructive Nature: Known as the most destructive termite species in Arizona,  capable of causing severe structural damage. According to the National Pest Management Association, “Subterranean termites are by far the most destructive species of termite as they eat 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

Signs of Termites

Termites can be challenging to detect because much of their activity happens out of sight. Here are the most common signs of termites in the Phoenix metro area.

Subterranean termites build mud tubes to travel between the soil and wood structures, protecting themselves from dehydration. Look for pencil-thin mud tubes along foundations, walls, or crawl spaces.

Termites chew through wood, often following the grain. Look for tunnels or grooves inside exposed wood.

Winged reproductive termites (alates) swarm during certain times of the year to establish new colonies. Finding discarded wings near windows, doors, or other light sources is a sign of a nearby colony.

Tap on wooden structures; if they sound hollow, termites may have eaten the interior. This could be found in structural beams, floorboards, or furniture.

Other Major Benefits

Blue Sky is the most reliable, quality pest control with timely, professional staff. We've been with them 11 years. 9 years ago they found termites outside our home we didn't even know about. They took care of them before they could do any damage and we've never had any problem since. Their staff is courteous and highly trained. I have an organic garden, fruit trees, and a dog and cat. They take great care of all at a reasonable price. Thank you Blue Sky!

John Reynolds

We've had Blue Sky for several years now for both pest control and termite protection. We're been very happy with the results. No bugs and no termites. Their people are extremely thorough and professional. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

George Foster

Best experience by far. Great people and very capable when termites are involved. They did so much more than the last company I had come out a couple of years ago. Highly recommend.
